The following policies apply to bookings made with directly with Helicopter Transport and Training and through third party booking agents, Adrenaline and Viator.

Payment

Payment is due at time of booking.  For Scenic and Trial Introductory Flights, payment must be received in full at time of booking.  Charter Flights require a holding deposit of $500 to secure requested booking time and must also be paid at time of booking.

Payments can be made via credit card over the phone by calling +61 2 9708 6666.  A 3.2% surcharge will be added for payments via AMEX.

Schedule of Fees

Helicopter Transport and Training require 48 hours or more notice prior to booking time for any cancellations or rescheduling.  For notice within the 48 hours period the following fees will apply:

  • For cancellations - a 'Cancellation Fee' of 100% of the flight cost will apply.
  • For rescheduling - a 'Rescheduling Fee' of $50 per flight will apply.

Cancellation Due to Weather

In the interest of safety, Helicopter Transport and Training and the pilot in command of a flight has sole responsibility in regards to cancelling a flight due to inclement weather.  Flights are generally cancelled in instances of low cloud, fog, high winds and thunderstorms.  However wet weather can still allow a flight to go ahead if visibility allows.  If there are any concerns regarding the weather, enquiries can be made by calling +61 2 9708 6666.

Helicopter Transport and Training will endeavour to provide as much notice as possible to any cancellations due to weather.  If your flight is cancelled, there is no cancellation or rescheduling fee incurred and the flight will be rescheduled to a different time that suits guest's availability.

If the guest wishes to cancel or reschedule the flight within 48 hours of the booking time due to weather and the flight was deemed suitable to fly, standard Cancellation and Rescheduling Fees will apply.

Helicopter Transport and Training will not be held liable for any associated costs in regards to air fares, accomodation or travel should a booking not go ahead as scheduled.

Cancellation Due to Illness

Notice of guest illness should be made at the earliest convenience.  If notification is within 48 hours of booking time the flight will not be eligible for refund and will require rescheduling to a time that suits guest availability.  The Rescheduling Fee will apply, but will be waived upon presentation of proof of illness; e.g. Doctor's Certificate.

Missed Flights

If the guest fails to arrive for the flight at the scheduled time a Cancellation Fee will apply.

If the flight was booked through a third party provider, the provider will be notified in writing and seperate fees may apply (please refer to third party provider's website for fees and charges).
